We invite you to listen to poetry and prose about the Mystic River and its intrepid river herring by local writers shared in conjunction with ArtsArlington's public art project Go Fish!
Go Fish! celebrates the valiant herring that migrate up the Mystic River every spring. It is a temporary mural project consisting of 2,500 individual herring hand-painted by people of all ages and walks of life and installed on the brick walls of the Edith M. Fox Library, Olympic Pizza, Play Time, American Alarm, Arlington Police Department, and other locations in Arlington, Massachusetts.
Many thanks to the writers who have generously shared their work, and to the many community partners and supporters who have made this Go Fish! possible, especially the Edith M. Fox Library, for hosting our first and largest installation, and the Mystic River Watershed Association for their tireless work on behalf of the watershed ecosystem.
